Australian Lino Manhom (213-F-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Al Khaleej and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 40 points and 32 rebounds, while his team outclassed Ohod (#10, 1-17) with 29-point margin 86-57. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Al Khaleej maintains the 9th position in Saudi Arabian SBL. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Al Khaleej have already lost 15 games and recorded just three victories. Manhom turned to be Al Khaleej's top player in his first season with the team. University of Texas Permian Basin graduate has very impressive stats this year. Manhom leads league in rebounds with 16.3rpg. Manhom is in league's top in and averages solid 1.5bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Senegalese forward Ibrahima Sankare (203-F-1996) of Al Khewaildia. Sankare impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Al Khewaildia lost that game 71-110 to the higher-ranked Al Nasr (#4, 13-5). Al Khewaildia is still second from the bottom in the standings. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Al Khewaildia managed to get this year. Sankare is a newcomer at Al Khewaildia and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.4ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 9.6rpg and 4.9apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Alex Young (198-F-1989) of Al Salam (#5). Young got into 30-points club by scoring 39 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and four assists. He was a key player of Al Salam, leading his team to a 92-84 win against slightly lower-ranked Al Fateh (#6, 8-10). Al Salam needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Young has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.9ppg (best scorer).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
